• Question: When will they make no breakable chargers

      I’m sorry to say that I don’t think this will ever happen. People who manufacture chargers for phones are essentially trying to make money, and if they know your charger will break after a year or two then you are a guaranteed return customer who will come back and give them more money for a new one. It sounds dodgy, but that’s just how business works :/

      Famously, Apple admitted to releasing patches which made their older phones run slower. They claimed this was to preserve your battery, but if your phone is running horribly, aren’t you likely to go out and buy a new one?

      So the short answer is, most things are built with a deliberate lifespan. The expectation is that, by the time your current device breaks a new version will have been released and you will go out and buy that one. I think it is worth thinking about this whenever you are considering buying a new piece of technology.
